Scholarship Award Winners

Since inception in 2002, the National Buffalo Soldiers and Troopers Motorcycle Club (NABSTMC) Maryland Chapter has awarded $41,000 in academic scholarships to students from the State of Maryland and the District of Columbia that best represents the attributes of the Buffalo Soldiers assigned to the 9th and 10th Cavalry Regiment.  Annually, the scholarship winner(s) is/are awarded an academic and vocational scholarship for use at an accredited four-year college or university and trade school of their choice.

This year, the NABSTMC Maryland Chapter awarded the 2025 William C. Price Scholarship to Ahmena Jones from Upper Marboro, MD who graduated from Bishop McNamara high school. She will be attending University of Pennsylvania.

Brice Hurling-Spears graduated Valedictorian of Prince George’s public school and Prince George’s Community College in 2015 as part of a dual enrollment program where he earned his high school diploma and associates degree.  He graduated in 2019 with Bachelor of Science in Biology from Hampton University.
